Accompanied by a local Vietnamese rider, you’ll weave through the narrow streets and hidden alleys across various districts, uncovering the city’s secrets. The journey begins with a ride to Chinatown, followed by a visit to a bustling evening market and the Ho Thi Ky wholesale flower market. Here, you’ll stroll through the colourful market and participate in a hands-on activity to make crispy banana crackers.

Next, you’ll hop back on the scooter for a scenic 30-minute ride through Saigon’s alleyways, passing by fabric shops on fashion streets, lively food vendors, and a park where locals gather for night-time exercise. Along the way, you’ll stop at a local eatery to enjoy iconic Vietnamese dishes like Pho (beef noodle soup) and Banh Mi (Vietnam’s famed street sandwich).

The adventure continues in the Nguyen Thien Thuat area, renowned for its incredible variety of street food that reflects the diverse cultures of Vietnam. This neighbourhood is home to residents from all over the country, which makes its cuisine rich and fascinating.

To cap off the evening, you’ll visit a popular local drinking spot where you can relax with beer or soft drinks. Sitting on small chairs at a street-side table, you’ll chat with your guide, learning about Vietnamese cuisine and local life.

You’ll return to your hotel around 10:00 PM, ending your unforgettable evening immersed in the bustling nightlife of Saigon.

The tour takes you through vibrant streets and hidden corners, offering a glimpse of local life and culture, as well as the opportunity to indulge in authentic street seafood and cold drinks. After sampling as much delicious street food as you desire, you can enjoy live music and visit bars to experience Saigon’s nightlife like a local. Vegetarian options are available upon request.

Day 3: Explore Ho Chi Minh City (B, L, G)

After breakfast, your guide will pick you up for an insightful tour of Ho Chi Minh City. Your first stop is the History Museum, which features a fascinating exhibition on the 5th-century Oc Eo civilisation. Next, you’ll visit the War Remnants Museum, offering a compelling—though graphic—perspective on the Vietnam War, known locally as the “American War.”

The tour continues to Ben Thanh Market, one of the city’s most vibrant and bustling hubs, where you’ll find an astonishing array of goods and local specialties. You’ll also explore the Jade Emperor Temple, a stunning Taoist sanctuary renowned for its intricate carvings, impressive effigies, and striking depictions of the descent to Hell. Don’t miss the temple’s unusual terrapin and tortoise sanctuaries.

To end the day, you’ll visit a lacquer workshop to witness the intricate techniques and meticulous craftsmanship behind Vietnam’s traditional lacquerware.

After a day filled with history, culture, and artistry, you’ll return to your accommodation in Ho Chi Minh City for the night.

Day 4: Cai Be – Local Lifestyle (L, G)

After escaping the bustling streets of Ho Chi Minh City, you’ll head to Cai Be, a journey of approximately 2.5 hours by car. Upon arrival at Cai Be pier, you’ll board a boat for a scenic trip to the Cai Be Floating Market. As you glide along the waterways, you’ll also visit riverside cottage industries, such as coconut candy workshops, rice cracker producers, and a honey bee farm.

Next, you’ll continue to Tan Phong Island, home to lush fruit orchards featuring seasonal delights like durian, rambutan, longan, plum, and jackfruit. You’ll have the opportunity to pick and taste these fresh fruits straight from the trees. From there, you’ll visit Mr. Nam On to learn about traditional musical instruments and enjoy a live folk music performance by talented local artists.

After bidding farewell to Mr. Nam On, you’ll board a small sampan to navigate the winding canals leading to the Mekong Ecolodge. Here, you’ll participate in a hands-on cooking class, preparing local Mekong specialties. Discover your culinary talents and savour the delicious meal you’ve created.

After lunch and a short break, you’ll hop on a bicycle to explore the area, engaging in traditional local activities. Learn to knit with water hyacinth, make rice paper, or craft bamboo tools like nail polish brushes. Try your hand at any process that piques your interest.

As the day concludes, you’ll say goodbye to the friendly villagers and drive to Can Tho, the vibrant capital of the Mekong Delta. You’ll spend the night in Can Tho, resting after a day of cultural immersion and adventure.

Day 5: Cai Rang Floating Market (B, L, G)

After breakfast, you’ll embark on a boat cruise to the Cai Rang Floating Market, one of the most vibrant and iconic sites in the Mekong Delta. Both the journey and the market itself offer a fascinating glimpse into the rural lifestyle of this region, with bustling trade conducted entirely on the water.

On the way back to Ho Chi Minh City, you’ll stop at the ancient and picturesque Vinh Trang Pagoda, located just three kilometers from the centre of My Tho. This renowned pagoda is celebrated for its harmonious blend of Chinese, Vietnamese, and Angkor architectural styles. Spanning five acres (two hectares), the complex features five buildings, two ornamental courtyards, and 178 intricately carved pillars. Among its many treasures are the remarkable wooden statues of 18 Arahants, created in 1907, which exemplify the connection between Vietnamese art and Buddhist beliefs.

After exploring the serene beauty and historical significance of Vinh Trang Pagoda, you’ll continue to Ho Chi Minh City, where you’ll spend the night.

Day 6: Cu Chi Tunnels (B, L, G)

In the morning, you’ll drive to the renowned Cu Chi Tunnels, an intricate network of underground passages, chambers, and booby traps. These tunnels, used by the Viet Minh and Viet Cong, showcase the ingenuity and resilience of those who utilised them to launch surprise attacks and quickly disappear during the war.

Next, you’ll travel to the Cao Dai Holy See, an architectural marvel and the spiritual center of Cao Dai, one of the world’s most unique and modern religions. Arriving in time for the noon ceremony, you’ll witness a vibrant and mesmerising ritual.

Following the ceremony, you’ll enjoy lunch at a local restaurant before returning to Ho Chi Minh City in the afternoon.

Day 7: Depart Ho Chi Minh (B, DP)

Today you will be transferred to your beach destination of choice. This includes Con Dao, Mui Ne, or Phu Quoc.

Con Dao:

Con Son, located about 140 km off the coast in the South China Sea, is the largest island in a 15-island archipelago, much of which is protected as part of a national park and marine reserve. Con Dao is a relatively untapped destination with limited infrastructure—offering just one mid-range hotel and no luxury options. While the small town and harbour offer some charm, the primary historical attraction is Con Son’s long history as a prison colony. Visitors can explore the preserved prisons, cell blocks, and torture chambers, now serving as a museum.

The islands and surrounding marine areas boast rich biodiversity, much of it still unexplored. Snorkelling and diving opportunities are available around the coral reefs and nearby waters. We’ll arrange for a local guide to help you discover Con Dao’s untouched natural beauty, including its diverse flora, unique wildlife, and abundant aquatic species.

If you’re looking to venture off the beaten path and don’t mind a more rugged travel experience, Con Dao could be the perfect fit.

Mui Ne:

A charming coastal town in southern Vietnam. This is renowned for its stunning beaches, vibrant fishing culture, and unique natural landscapes.

The town’s beaches are a major draw, offering long stretches of golden sand and clear waters perfect for sunbathing, swimming, and relaxation. Mui Ne is also famous for its strong sea breezes, making it one of the best places in Vietnam for kite surfing, windsurfing, and sailing. These water sports attract adventure enthusiasts from around the globe.

One of Mui Ne’s most distinctive features is its sand dunes. The Red Sand Dunes, located close to town, are a popular spot for sand-sledding and capturing breath-taking views at sunrise or sunset. The White Sand Dunes, larger and more remote, offer a desert-like landscape ideal for ATV rides and photography.

Phu Quoc:

Phu Quoc, Vietnam’s largest island, is a tropical paradise located in the Gulf of Thailand, just off the southern coast of the country. Known for its pristine beaches, lush forests, and vibrant local culture, Phu Quoc has become a top destination for travellers seeking relaxation, adventure, and natural beauty.

The island boasts some of Vietnam’s most beautiful beaches, including Long Beach, Sao Beach, and Ong Lang Beach, each offering soft white sand, clear turquoise waters, and a tranquil atmosphere. These beaches are ideal for swimming, sunbathing, and water activities such as kayaking and paddleboarding.

Beyond its coastline, Phu Quoc offers a wealth of natural attractions. The Phu Quoc National Park, recognised as a UNESCO Biosphere Reserve, is home to dense tropical forests, diverse wildlife, and hiking trails that lead to breath-taking views. The island’s waterfalls, like Suoi Tranh and Da Ban, provide peaceful spots for picnics and relaxation.
