Day 1: Osaka Arrival and Hotel Check In.

You will leave London Gatwick Airport for your outbound flight to Kansai International Airport. On arrival at Kansai International Airport, you will be greeted by your driver with your name plate in the arrivals section of the airport. From here you will be driven to your 5* Hilton Osaka Hotel. This will be your hotel for the duration of your stay and breakfast will be included for the next seven mornings.

Day 2-6: Free Time to Explore Osaka & Optional Tours

Below is a list of some of the optional Japan trips and tours available during your stay in Osaka.

Option 1: Captivating Osaka Nightlife Food Experience (Duration 3-hours)

On this 3-hour Osaka Night Food Tour, you’ll embark on an unforgettable food journey through the bustling streets and off-the-beaten-path spots of Minami (South) Osaka. We’ll kick off in the lively Dotonburi area, home to the iconic Glico Man and the inspirational Fortunato Catalon. After leaving the main street, we’ll wind our way down secret alleyways to a shrine that most tourists wouldn’t find without a local’s guidance. Sample Kushikatsu, a local take on Yakitori, and experience Michelin-rated Street food with Takoyaki! Your guide will lead you to a district full of secret and exciting bars – every few steps there’s another doorway to a new, unique experience. This neighbourhood has a cool and artistic atmosphere that’s sure to make you feel hip. To finish off the tour, savour a delicious local street food dessert before taking the reins and exploring the area further on your own!

Option 2: Market Food Experience (Duration 3-hours)

On this tour, you can delve into the intriguing history of Kuromon Market while getting a glimpse into the distinctive local products that make it a worthwhile stop. You will gain a unique understanding of the associated culture, Osakan people, culinary delights, and more – giving you an in-depth insider’s view of the area.

Once you have browsed through the markets in the main area, join your tour guide and head to Sennichimae Doguyasuji. This is where you’ll find kitchen supplies that are essential for Osaka’s culinary masters. Along with various kitchen utensils, you’ll find an array of knives, bowls, takoyaki grills, neon signs, plastic food, appliances, and more. Within Sennichimae Doguyasuji lies a unique feature- ‘Food samples’. This age-old tradition has been around in Japan for more than a century and began when some restaurateurs created wax and plastic food to show to potential diners just what they were offering. Get a taste of Osaka and find the perfect plastic sushi or any other dish to take home as a special souvenir from your visit!

Option 3: Cooking Lesson with a Friendly Local (Duration 3-hours)

Experience the flavours and culture of Japan with a unique cooking experience with an Osaka local. Yoshiko invites visitors into her home to teach how to make dashi stock and create delicious dishes with umami flavour. Learn about the life of an Osaka resident and get an insider’s look into Japanese cuisine with this unforgettable private experience.

Option 4: Walk Around the Top 5 Must-See Sights in Osaka (Duration 7-8 hours)

Embark on an engaging walking tour of the true Osaka, strolling through five of the city’s must-see locations with an English-speaking guide! We’ll finish with a delicious Ramen lunch. Join us and find out why Osaka is such a unique and amazing place! During this walking tour, discover the captivating Osaka Castle, uncover colourful downtown Osaka, wander at the Kuromon Market, marvel at the views from the observatory of Tsutenkaku, and embrace the striking Shitennoji temple.

Day 7: Departure Flight

If time allows, enjoy free time to explore the city, or opt for another tour before you depart! Later, be greeted by your driver at the 5* Hilton Osaka Hotel for your return transfer back to Kansai International Airport. Enjoy the scenery of Osaka on your transfer, before catching your flight back to London Gatwick Airport via Dubai International Airport.
