This 7-day Tokyo Package Tour includes 6 nights at The Gate Hotel Ryogoku by Hulic close to the city centre and all of the major transport routes through Tokyo. Breakfast is included for 6 mornings and international flights.
Flights will be departing from London Gatwick Airport (LGW) with a brief stop at Shanghai airport (PVG) and then continuing onto Haneda International Airport (HND). The return flight will be departing from Narita International Airport (NRT) to Shanghai for the final flight back to London Gatwick Airport.
Airport transfers are included both ways direct to The Gate Hotel Ryogoku by Hulic, that sits in a prominent location by the river and many sights of Tokyo for your viewing pleasure. You will especially like this location at night as the city reaches its fully vibrant life.

Itinerary
Day 1: Tokyo Arrival via Haneda International Airport
Upon arrival you will be met by your driver who will drive from the airport to the Gate Hotel Ryogoku by Hulic in central Tokyo for your ease of exploration of this colourful city during your Tokyo tour. This will be your hotel for the duration of your stay in Japan and with breakfast included you will feel the comfort offered by the hosts and beside the river.
Day 2-6: Free and Easy Days in Tokyo
This is where you can have time to explore Tokyo at your leisure with many different tours available (please note these are not included in the tour and will cost extra if you wish to choose them for your holiday options) as below:
Tokyo City Tour – including Tokyo Tower the world’s tallest freestanding tower with unrivalled views of the city from the observation deck, the buddhist temple of Senso-ji in the Asakusa District, Tokyo Imperial Palace, Tokyo Skytree and the entertainment district of Shinjuku.
Shinjuku Nightlife Tour – Here, you can experience the best of Tokyo nightlife, from the bustling streets to the vibrant clubs and bars. Some of the most popular nightspots include Roppongi, Shibuya, and Shinjuku. Each area offers a different kind of atmosphere, so you’ll find something to suit your taste.
Meiji Jingu Shrine – Meiji Jingu Shrine is a stunning Shinto shrine located in Shibuya, Tokyo. The shrine is located in a stunning forest, with over 120,000 trees, mostly evergreens. Visitors can explore the shrine grounds, which include a main hall, a treasure house, a sacred stable, and a large inner court.
Sensoji Temple – The temple was constructed in 645 AD, making it the oldest temple in Tokyo.The main hall of the temple is the Kaminarimon or ‘Thunder Gate,’ which is the entrance to the temple grounds. It is adorned with a large paper lantern, symbolizing the spirit of the temple. It houses many of the temple’s important artifacts, such as a three-story pagoda, a five-story pagoda, and a Buddhist statue.
Hamarikyu Garden – The garden is divided into two parts, the Inner Garden and the Outer Garden. The Inner Garden is a more traditional Japanese garden and has a wide variety of plants and flowers to enjoy. The Outer Garden is more of a park-like area with a promenade, a lawn for picnics, and a playground.
Kyoto Day Tour by high-speed train – The high-speed train from Tokyo to Kyoto takes only two and a half hours, making it easy to fit a full day of sightseeing into a short trip. The bamboo groves of Arashiyama are another must-see, offering stunning landscapes and a chance to observe wild monkeys.The Imperial Palace is an important symbol of Kyoto’s history, and visitors can take a guided tour of the grounds. The nearby Nijo Castle is also a great place to visit, with its grand architecture and beautiful gardens.
Arashiyama Day Tour including the famous bamboo forest – The forest is a peaceful retreat, with its towering bamboo stalks providing a calming atmosphere. Take a leisurely stroll through the forest and take in the beauty of nature.From the Bamboo Forest, you can walk to the Togetsukyo Bridge, the symbol of Arashiyama. This wooden bridge is over 400 years old and spans the Katsura River. It is the perfect spot for taking photos of the beautiful landscape.
Day Tour to Kiyomizudera Temple – First, you’ll be taken to the entrance of the temple complex. Here, you’ll be able to take in the stunning view of the temple and its grounds. Next, you’ll have the chance to explore the temple complex, including the main hall where the sacred Kannon statue is kept, the towering pagoda, and the beautiful gardens. You’ll also have the opportunity to learn more about the history and culture of the temple.
Akihabara District – The area is especially well-known for its electronics stores, which are stocked with the latest gadgets and appliances. There are also a number of stores specializing in anime, manga, and video games, as well as second-hand stores. For those looking to purchase technological items, Akihabara is the place to go.
Manga Tour – On the tour, you can visit Akihabara, the center of Tokyo’s manga culture. Here, you can explore the many shops and cafés dedicated to manga, anime, and other related items. You can also visit the famous Comiket, a massive comic convention that takes place twice a year. Another great stop on a Tokyo Manga Tour is the Ghibli Museum, a museum dedicated to the works of the famous animator Hayao Miyazaki.
Electric City Tour – The tour begins at the Akihabara Electric Town, where visitors can explore the vast array of shops, stalls, and boutiques. Here, visitors can purchase the latest electronics, gadgets, and appliances, as well as traditional Japanese handicrafts. The tour then moves on to the historic Asakusa district, home to some of Tokyo’s oldest temples and shrines. Here, visitors can marvel at the intricate architecture of the Sensoji temple and the Kaminarimon Gate. Tokyo Tower will also be included in the tour.

Day 7: Hotel Check Out & Departure Flight
There will time for a free morning in Tokyo before your departure flight home. We recommend this be used to purchase any souvenirs for your travels if you haven’t already or see one last important to remember you trip to Japan. You will be picked up from the hotel and be transferred to Narita International Airport for your return flight.
