The statue is a tribute to the former president and leader, Ho Chi Minh, which also became the name of this city seen in the picture. Seen in front of the City Hall in Ho Chi Minh city at daytime.
Ho Chi Minh was the inspirational leader that had a big impact on the Vietnam War and such was his impact that the city was renamed after him, although locals still refer to it as Saigon.
