Itinerary
Day 1: Hanoi Arrival.
On arrival at Noi Bai airport in Hanoi, your guide will be there to welcome you with a warm greeting and take you to your hotel for your luxury Vietnam holiday. After your long-haul flight, you’ll have enough time to rest and relax before you continue your journey. The rest of the day is free, and you can spend it as you wish. Whether you choose to explore the city, take a stroll around the streets, try out the local cuisine, or just relax in the comfort of your room. In the evening, you’ll be able to experience the atmosphere of the Hanoi nightlife – from tasty street food to lively bars and nightclubs.
Day 2: Hanoi – Explore the Bustling Old Quarter.
Today during your Vietnam travel itinerary, you will spend the whole day exploring Vietnam’s capital city. Be amazed by its diverse attractions! Start with a visit to the Temple of Literature, the first university in Vietnam dating back to the 11th century. Then, make your way to Ho Chi Minh’s Mausoleum, his simple stilt house, and the museum dedicated to his memory. After lunch, Hoa Lo Prison – better known as the ‘Hanoi Hilton’ – is a must-visit for its interesting history. The centre of Hanoi, including Hoan Kiem Lake, the Ngoc Son temple, and the energetic Old Quarter, are excellent destinations for shopping, sightseeing, and experiencing the local culture. The Old Quarter is a maze of shopping streets and restaurants with a mixture of architecture – traditional tube houses, religious buildings, artisans’ workshops and cottages, colonial houses, and modern concrete edifices. In the evening, enjoy a performance of Water Puppetry, a unique art form to northern Vietnam, before spending the night in Hanoi. With so many attractions to visit, you’ll be sure to have a great time in Vietnam’s capital city.

Day 3: Hanoi – Lao Cai – Sapa – Topas Eco Lodge: A Serene Walk.
Beginning your journey at 6:30 AM, you will take the Topas Mountain Express from Hanoi to the Topas Eco Lodge. After checking into your bungalow and admiring the majestic mountain views from your private balcony, you will set off on a leisurely afternoon walk. You will begin along the quiet road, taking in the stunning views of the rice terraces below. As you ascend to Lech village, you will have the opportunity to visit a traditional wooden house and meet the friendly Red Dao hosts. Here you can learn about their culture and admire their unique, colourful costumes and hand-embroidered garments. On your way back to the Topas Eco Lodge, you will take small trails, cross a suspension bridge, and take plenty of pictures of the beautiful natural landscape. Your guide will also explain the unique cultivation practices of the local farmers.

Day 4: Sapa – off the beaten track discovery.
Start the day by getting up early for a great breakfast so that you can prepare yourself for an exciting excursion in Hoang Lien National Park. At 8:30 AM, meet your guide and transfer deeper into the national park to the Sin Chai village. Here you can embrace this rural ‘off the beaten track’ destination during your holiday to Vietnam. Marvel at the views of the towering mountains, thunderous waterfalls, and lush valleys. You will then arrive at the Red Dao village of Nam Nhiu to meet the locals, explore their homes, and find out about their daily life. After departing from the village, walk on a small dirt trail and be in awe at the captivating sight of the rice valley decorated with bamboo huts. You will enjoy a peaceful stroll on a quiet road towards the Nam Cang village and stop at the Topas Riverside Lodge for a delicious lunch. After, accompanied by your guide, you can explore the Red Dao village to witness their vibrant and diverse costumes, as well as their impressive skills in herbal bath, local medicine, and embroidery. You will also be able to observe the locals making writing paper, jewellery, and embroidery. You can even take a swim in the river and embrace a refreshing dip. At 14:15, you will be back at the lodge, where you can pamper yourself with a herbal bath at the lodge’s spa.

Day 5: Topas Eco Lodge to Hanoi
You will have the morning to explore Topas Eco Lodge at your leisure until the early afternoon, when you will be driven back to Hanoi. You will arrive at your hotel in Hanoi at around 9.00pm, after which you will have the rest of the day to yourself. Your accommodation for the night will be in Hanoi.
If you’re looking for something different to do in the morning in Sapa, you can borrow a mountain bike from the lodge to explore the nearby area. You can also hop on a shuttle bus for a trip into town or book a half-day tour to check out Mt. Fansipan, the tallest peak in Indochina (3.143m), via cable car.

Day 6: Hanoi and your choice of Nha Trang or Con Dao.
The morning is yours to enjoy until it’s time for a driver to take you to the airport for check-in. From there, you’ll be off to one of two beautiful beaches, perfect for a luxury Vietnam holiday. Choose from either the turquoise waters of Nha Trang or the white sandy shores of Con Dao. There’ll be a car and driver waiting for you when you arrive, ready to take you to your resort, where you’ll spend the next five nights.
