Ulaanbaatar
- Erdene Khamba: The complex is known for its beautifully crafted monuments and structures, including a giant gilded statue of Buddha.
- Genghis Statue Complex. Standing at an astounding height of 131 feet, the statue is considered the largest equestrian statue in the world.
- Gandan Monastery: Home to over 600 monks and serves as the headquarters of the Tibetan Buddhist Gelug sect in Mongolia.
- Chinggis Khan Museum: The museum, opened in 2009, is dedicated to showcasing the life, legacy, and cultural impact of Chinggis Khan.

Elsen Tasarkhai: This vast stretch of sand dunes, grasslands, and rocky outcrops spans almost 80km and is a popular destination for tourists seeking an authentic Mongolian experience. The area is surrounded by the Khogno Khan Mountains, creating a striking contrast between the sandy desert and the rugged mountains.
Khugnu Khan Nature Reserve: A beautiful and diverse conservation area located in the western part of Mongolia. Covering an area of approximately 47000 hectares, it is home to a variety of endangered plant and animal species.
Stay with a Nomadic Family: Soak up tradition and culture with a nomadic family stay. Here you can milk the animals, tend to the livestock, and savour local cuisine. You can even experience a horse or camel ride with this local family and play traditional family games.
Hustai National Park: Marvel at the Takhi Wild Horses roaming free in their natural habitat. Today, Hustai National Park is a sanctuary for not only the horses but also other rare and endangered species such as the red deer, argali sheep, and the elusive snow leopard
Terelj National Park: A natural paradise that showcases the stunning beauty and rich culture of the country.
Local Cuisine and Traditional Dishes to try while in Mongolia
During this tour, numerous opportunities will arise for you to savour the authentic local cuisine, whether from the menus of included meals or from your own culinary exploration during your free time in the itinerary. Indulge in traditional dishes that showcase the rich flavours of the region, including aaruul, which is made from dried and hardened yogurt and can be consumed as a snack or used as an ingredient in other dishes. Other dishes include “Buuz” (steamed dumplings), “khorkhog” (meat and vegetable stew), and “tsuivan” (stir-fried noodles).

Itinerary
Day 1: Ulaanbaatar, Tuul River walk, city sightseeing & traditional cuisine
As you arrive in Ulaanbaatar, Mongolia, you will be welcomed by a local representative and transferred to your hotel. The rest of the day will be yours to rest or explore the city as you please. Take a moment to explore the city’s bustling streets and vibrant cultures. Visit the local markets and be amazed by the array of colourful handcrafted items. Take a stroll along the banks of the Tuul River, admiring the view of the rolling hills and snow-capped mountains in the distance. In the evening, why not take a walk through the city’s historic centre, taking in the sights and sounds of the local culture. For dinner, experience the unique flavours of Mongolian cuisine in one of the city’s many restaurants. After dinner, take a relaxing stroll through the city’s parks and gardens, admiring the beauty of the night sky.
Days 2-3: Elsen Tasarkhai, nomadic family stay & traditional Khorkhog BBQ
The morning begins with a leisurely breakfast at the hotel and then it’s off to Elsen Tasarkhai (Bayan Gobi) and Khugnu Khan nature reserve to explore the beautiful rocky mountains and 80-km long sand dune. Here you will have the opportunity to stay with a nomadic family for an authentic experience. Participate in daily activities such as milking the animals, tending the livestock, and dairy processing. You’ll also enjoy a traditional Mongolian barbecue (khorkhog) prepared by your hosts. Learn about the preparation process and assist in the cooking of this delicious meal. Ride a horse or a camel and help your hosts tend to their animals. Visit Erdene Khamba, a surviving Buddhist temple and play some traditional games with the local kids. A truly unique, immersive, and unforgettable experience awaits.

Day 4: Hustai National Park, ger camp & Takhi wild horses
After a hearty breakfast, it’s time to say goodbye to your host family and head to the Hustai National Park. After a delicious lunch at the ger camp, visitors can witness the magnificent Takhi wild horses, also known as Przewalski Horses (the last remaining wild horses on earth). Spend the rest of your day leisurely exploring the area.

Day 5: Terelj National Park, Giant Genghis Statue Complex, Meditation Temple & Turtle Rock
Today, visit the largest horseman statue of the world, the Giant Genghis Statue complex, and explore the Meditation Temple and Turtle Rock in Terelj National Park. Afterward, go for a hike around the park and enjoy a dinner at the ger camp.

Day 6: Ulaanbaatar, city tour, shopping & farewell dinner
Upon arriving in Ulaanbaatar city, take some time to explore the Gandan Monastery, the largest and most important monastery in Mongolia. Afterwards, check out the newly established Chinggis Khan museum, and then enjoy lunch at a local restaurant. If desired, you can also do some souvenir and cashmere shopping. Finally, wrap up the day with a farewell dinner with your team.

Day 7: Chinggis Khan Airport for departure
After breakfast, you will be taken to the Chinggis Khan Airport, where you will say farewell to your guide and driver.
