Cultural Experiences & Activities of this Holiday
Tai-chi Session: Embrace a tranquil session onboard your cruise. The origins of tai chi can be traced back to Zhang Sanfeng, a Taoist monk who created the practice based on the movements of animals and nature. In Vietnam, tai chi is known as ‘Thai Cuc,’ which translates to ‘Supreme Ultimate Fist’ and is often referred to as a Wudang style of tai chi. It is believed that the practice was introduced to Vietnam during the 17th century when the country was under Chinese rule.
Vung Vieng fishing village: Nestled in the idyllic beauty of Halong Bay, Vietnam, lies the quaint and charming Vung Vieng fishing village. This hidden gem is a peaceful escape from the bustling city life and offers a unique glimpse into the traditional way of life in this ancient fishing village.
Yen Duc village Water Puppet Show: This show is a highly treasured and renowned art form in Vietnam, dating back to the 11th century and originating in the Red River Delta region. Yen Duc village has become a popular spot for tourists to witness this ancient traditional performance.
