This 7 day Thailand travel package includes international flights from London Heathrow to Bangkok international Airport and connecting to Chiang Rai Airport for the arrival to North Thailand and your destination for the duration of your stay at the MORA Boutique Hotel, a short distance from the city centre. Airport Transfers are included along with breakfast.
Itinerary
Day 1: International Flight & Chiang Rai Arrival
You’ll leave London Heathrow Airport to depart for your outbound flight with Thai Airways to Bangkok. Enjoy the on-board beverages and relax and unwind with a movie on the way and get some rest. Your connecting flight to Chiang Rai Airport will arrive in the mid-morning or later if that’s your chosen preference. There will then be a pickup from the airport to the MORA Boutique Hotel, a short distance from the city centre. This will be your hotel for the duration of your stay with this Thailand travel package. The rest of the day will be free time to explore the history of this exciting North Thailand Destination.
Day 2-6: Free Time to explore Chiang Rai & The Golden Triangle
The weather at this time of year should be hot but a nice hot in the early 30’s Celsius. For the remainder of the stay there will be no planned activities, but we do have the following recommendations (these are optional tours and will cost extra but can be tailored to customers’ needs on this Thailand Hotel & Flight Package).
Tour of Chiang Saen Historical Park: Located in Chiang Rai, this site offers a great opportunity to explore the country’s ancient history. There are several ruins from the kingdom of the Lanna era, as well as sculptures, stupas and various religious artworks.
Golden Triangle Tour: Known as one of the most beautiful areas in Thailand, the Golden Triangle is located where Thailand, Laos and Myanmar meet. Spend your day here and explore the stunning sights of this amazing area.
Hill Tribe Tour: Visit the countryside and get to know the diverse cultures of several hill tribes, such as the Akha, Lawa and Lisu. Get a hands-on experience of the culture and traditions of these ancient peoples.
Nature Trekking: If you are a fan of outdoor activities, then don’t miss out on one of the popular day treks in Chiang Rai. You’ll get to explore the stunning mountain scenery and the lush jungle.
Doi Mae Salong Tour: During your Thailand travel , visit this beautiful hill station located in the northern mountains of Chiang Rai. You’ll have the opportunity to explore the stunning tea plantations as well as the beautiful local mountain surroundings.
Wat Rong Khun (White Temple): Wat Rong Khun is a popular tourist destination located at the edge of Chiang Rai city. This stunning temple incorporates traditional Buddhist building style and modern art into creating a unique blend of both. It is a must-visit for all those who want to get a glimpse of Buddhist culture.
Doi Tung: Doi Tung is a mountain located near the border of Burma and Myanmar. At the peak, there are some wonderful sights to explore including the famous Golden Pagoda, Wat Chan and Wat Phan-on. From here, tourists also have stunning views of the vast valleys and mountains below.
Mae Sai: Mae Sai is a vibrant border town that is a great spot for shopping and dining. Being very close to the border of Burma and Myanmar, it is the perfect place to explore the diverse cultures of both countries during your Thailand travel.
Khun Korn Waterfall: Khun Korn Waterfall is a spectacular natural wonder located in nearby Pha Daeng National Park. This multi-tiered waterfall is a perfect spot for adventure activities such as trekking, rafting and camping.
Elephant Nature Park: Home to a sanctuary where rescued elephants can roam and play freely, the Elephant Nature Park provides guests with an up-close look at these fascinating creatures. Tourists will have the chance to feed the elephants, bathe with them and learn about their history and importance to Thai culture.

Other Locations in Thailand: You could also add other destinations much further from Chiang Rai to Chiang Mai and maybe even to the bustling city of Bangkok or the ancient destination of Sukhothai (The cost would be substantial as this would result in domestic flights or other means of travel and different accommodation arrangements).

Day 7: Free Day & Evening Departure Flight
You will have free time to explore for most of the day before your evening departure flight home connecting to Bangkok and your long-haul flight back to London Heathrow Airport.
