Day 3: From cultural Mengzi to the ancient town of Jianshui

Day 4: Discover a day full of cultural experiences

• Uncover a serene local village full of Theravada Buddhism Culture. During this highlight, you will trek to a secluded Dai minority village and unearth a hidden monastery. The vibrant culture and enticing cuisine of the Dai people perfectly blend with their small bamboo huts and Buddhist pagoda’s. Nestled in a lush tropical landscape, the village is the perfect rest stop.
• In the morning, explore the local Menghai food market, before visiting the Manzhao Papermaking Village. You will also trek to an inviting local village for Theravada Buddhism Culture and discover Nannuo Mountain.

Here you will meet the Hani ethnic group and enjoy a unique stop in a family home to experience local culture. For a further burst of culture, embrace your visit to the Manzhao Papermaking Village, where you can witness strips of mulberry bark boiled, pulverized, and dried into something as universally relatable as a simple sheet of paper.
