Day 1: Pakbeng – Riverboat Cruise along the Mekong River

Upon your arrival at the Houei Say immigration checkpoint, transfer to a traditional riverboat for a picturesque cruise down the Mekong River to Pakbeng. You can expect approximately 7 hours of travel time, depending upon the water level. During your cruise, you can admire the untamed character of the river, with its impressive rapids and lush jungles. Along the way, you will have the opportunity to stop at various hill tribe villages, such as Ban Houeilampene and Ban Kouaytoune, and enjoy a picnic lunch on board. Finally, you will arrive in Pakbeng, a rustic town situated atop a steep hillside, with incredible views of the Mekong River. Upon arrival, check-in to your hotel.

 

Day 2: Pakbeng to Luang Prabang – Discover Hidden Gems.

After a delicious breakfast, continue your cruise along the mighty Mekong River, making a stop at Pak Ou by the convergence of Nam Ou and Mekong rivers.
