The 4WD experience lets your driver navigate the rugged landscapes to the captivating Mount Bromo with ease. You will experience climbs to the viewing point on Mount Pananjakan. Standing on the rim of the Tengger Caldera you will bask in the sunrise views of Mount Bromo, with the active Mount Semeru in the background. A horseback ride will be awaiting the intrepid adventurers. You will also see the Ijen crater and the warm lake inside, held back by a Dutch built dam to protect cropland further below. Itinerary

Day 1: Surabaya – Bromo Area (Cemoro Lawang) (L)

Upon your arrival at Surabaya airport, meet and greet with your guide. Then we will directly drive to Bromo for around 4 hours driving to Cemoro Lawang area for overnight. You will enjoy the different view along the road, from toll road to hilly terrain with the vegetable and fruit farm along the road. Lunch on route at local restaurant. Arrive at Cemoro Lawang and directly check in to your hotel and enjoy free time at your own leisure and meals at your personal account.

Day 2: Bromo Sunrise Tour – Ijen

At 4am the 4WD will bring us to the world’s most famous view point at Mt. Pananjakan (2,750 m) on the rim of the Tengger caldera to enjoy the sunrise breaking over the volcano cones including Mt. Bromo and an active Mt. Semeru in the background. The views are breathtaking. We continue across the sand sea to the active Mt. Bromo volcano and climb the 2245 steps to visit the crater (2,500 m). Horseback ride included, and then the 4WD jeep will bring you back to the hotel for breakfast. After having breakfast, clean up and check out of the  hotel to leave for Ijen – an approximately 6 hour drive. Stop local restaurant on route for Lunch when leaving back to Ijen. Arrive at Overnight at hotel in Ijen area.

Day 3: Ijen Blue Flame Tour – Ketapang Harbour

Around 01.00 am you will wake up and depart to the whole day excursion to Mt. Ijen. Ijen Crater shows a special type of volcanic feature common to Indonesia, about 1 km in diameter and 175 meters deep. The floor is covered completely by a warm lake, milky blue green in colour, held back by a dam built many years ago to keep the hot mineral, laden water from raining for the crop lands below. In certain parts in the crater you will see the blue fire. After, you can climb up to the rim of the crater and enjoy the breath-taking sunrise. After trekking down the mountain, you will re-join the coach and travel back to your hotel for breakfast. After, you will directly transfer to Ketapang harbour if you plan to cross to Bali for your next trip.
