The Temple of Literature, also known as Van Mieu, is an ancient Confucian temple complex and an integral part of the history of Hanoi. Built in 1070, the complex is symbolically laid out in harmony with nature, and its peaceful grounds host a prestigious university. On a tour of Hanoi this is a must visit site, especially to learn more about its educational heritage.
A Hanoi City tour wouldn’t be complete without a visit to the Ho Chi Minh Mausoleum. This grand memorial is dedicated to Ho Chi Minh, who was declared the father of modern Vietnam.
